Batch 8: Golden Hour IPA

March 17, 2010

Brew Days, Brewing, recent

Golden hour; the perfect time of day when the sun suffuses the earth in waves of liquid gold, and the harmonious resonance with the juxtaposition of, and beautifully smooth transition between polar opposites.

Generations have chased these fleeting Icarian moments, attempting to capture their splendor in stills and film, and what we bring to the palate is an translatory attempt of Golden Hour’s visual glory.

Vibrant hops and smooth malt at once oppose, balance, meld with, and enhance one another, leading an exploration to new gustatory horizons.

For those that weren’t there, here are some shots of our brew day.

Come join us in our brewing exploits! And yes, this is me hand-milling the grain (only for fun, we hook it up to a drill to do the real work), with the results below.
